Baseball
We were proud of our players and would like to be able to keep
them alive through their pictures. If you know who these
players are please send an email with the info to webmaster.
In
the 1930/40 most of the Textile Mills were known for the Base
Ball teams. Tucapau/Startex was no exception. Men were
hired to work at the mills just because they could play ball. We
had our own baseball field up behind the Scout Hut that is still
standing as you come in to Startex today. We had a fine ball
team and below is just one of the pictures that we can show of
our team.
